We are excited to welcome Marta to the Blue Lotus Room in May! Previously based in Perth, WA, Marta is now based in Brisbane, QLD and celebrating her 20th year in bellydance. She is an award-winning, professional fusion and oriental bellydancer and brand strategist specialising in the health and wellness industry. Marta secures lucrative back-to-back weekend gigs with corporate clients, restaurants, and private occasions, and is renowned for her sword technique, hypnotizing layering and cheeky personality. She will teach sword and a Neo drum workshop on her visit to Perth in May.

Marta is the Mistress of Modern Drum Solos! Come on a rhythmic journey to master the range of your pops, locks and shimmies. Learn to to layer isolations with grace, as Marta breaks down torso isolations into manageable drilling pathways. She will guide you through dynamic layering techniques to build your movement range and vocabulary for strong combinations. Apply your newly learnt combinations to a range of Arabic Rhythms and translate drum solos in elegant and sophisticated ways. Explore the importance of dancing on the beat, hearing the rhythm and finding accents. The ultimate goal is to engrave this knowledge into your body in order to successfully improvise to drums.
